Joy

Joy began her path of yoga when she attended a community class for the first time at age 19 in her hometown near Lake Tahoe, Nevada. It was the first time she had experienced meditation and knew it was something she would continue to practice throughout her life. 

When she moved to Arlington in 2002, she discovered a studio that taught Iyengar style yoga which encourages the use of props, extended time when holding the poses and engaging the breath to experience a deep mind-body connection.

Joy is passionate about sharing the mental and physical benefits that yoga provides and she continues to practice and teach Iyengar style yoga that focuses on deep stretching, stability and improving overall mobility.
